During the All Saints’ Day break, Groupama Stadium has a little surprise in store for those who love a good scare. On Wednesday, October 28, before heading out to cheer on the Lyon women’s team against Inter Milan, fans can try their hand at a life-size escape game, created in collaboration with Enigmatic Live Escape Game Lyon. And here’s the good news: it’s free for anyone with a ticket to the match. The idea: solve puzzles in a Halloween-themed atmosphere, complete with witches, pumpkins, and mysterious locations. It’s a great way to pass the time before the game—other than just munching on a sandwich while waiting for kickoff!
Five witches, a ritual, and a pentacle sheet
Five witches, a mysterious ritual, and a mountain of riches that could very well disappear forever… That’s the starting point for the adventure “A Witchcraft Ritual.” A century ago, the five witches are said to have succeeded in conjuring up an immense treasure using a strange ritual. Today, traces of their quest are resurfacing, and you’ll have to recreate their spell before they vanish for good.
The adventure begins amid pentagrams, ravens, pumpkins, and brooms. You’ll then be given your only tool: a sheet of paper adorned with a pentacle—that five-pointed star associated with witchcraft—on which you’ll write down each of your answers. The journey then takes you through increasingly eerie settings, from the Cemetery to the Forest of Spiders, passing through the Chamber of Cruelty.
No need to be a puzzle expert: the escape game is designed to be played with family or friends. Plan on about 40 minutes to get into the game, with no timer to put pressure on you. It’s sure to give you a few chills, lots of laughs, and—who knows—maybe even reveal who’s the bravest in your group!

One ticket for two highlights
As for the logistics, it all depends on your game ticket: the escape game is free for ticket holders for the OL Lyonnes vs. Inter Milan Champions League match, with no additional charge or prior registration required. No game ticket, no escape game.
- Escape game: Wednesday, October 28, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Gate G at Groupama Stadium
- Match: Kickoff at 9 p.m.
So it’s best to arrive a little early to enjoy the activities before heading to the stands. After unraveling the secrets of the five witches, it’ll be time to switch gears and cheer on Wendie Renard and her teammates in this unprecedented UEFA Women’s Champions League showdown against the Milanese!
