What if, for 30 minutes, you could travel back in time to the final hours of ancient Egypt? That’s the promise of “Cleopatra: The Fate of Egypt,” the virtual reality experience set up at the Cube Orange on the banks of the Saône, which immerses visitors in the fate of Egypt’s last queen.

Witha VR headset on, you can move freely through carefully reconstructed settings: the Palace of Alexandria, the banks of the Nile, the Pyramids of Giza, the temples dedicated to Isis, all the way to the ships of the Battle of Actium. Visitors will be able to climb two of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World: the fascinating Pyramid of Cheops and the legendary Lighthouse of Alexandria. The experience traces the major milestones of Cleopatra’s reign, right up to the fall of the Ptolemaic dynasty.

Up close with Cleopatra, Caesar, and Mark Antony
The concept: a walk-through virtual reality experience designed to bring the public closer to culture and history. Thanks to the freedom of movement offered by the headset, everyone can move through the recreated scenes and experience the major events of Cleopatra’s reign as if they were actually there, alongside the queen, Julius Caesar, and Mark Antony.
How did a young sovereign manage to reclaim her throne and establish herself as one of the most fascinating figures of antiquity? That is the very question posed by this experience, designed to be enjoyed with family or friends: sailing down the Nile, climbing the Pyramid of Cheops, finding yourself in the heart of the greatest naval battle of antiquity, and reliving from the inside the final hours of a 3,000-year-old Egypt.
