You’ve probably already seen how a trial unfolds in the United States in films or TV series. In Lyon, The Jury Experience lets you put yourself in the shoes of a juror and take part in the verdict. The Palais de Justice in Lyon has seen many important trials, such as that of Klaus Barbie, but in this theatrical experience, it’s up to you to vote at the end for what you consider to be the most just.
This immersive, mock-trial-style theater will take place in the heart of the 1st arrondissement, in the Salle Edouard Herriot at the Palais de la Mutualité, as well as at the Théâtre Astrée in Villeurbanne.

This show combines live theater, captivating narration and multimedia elements to create an immersive experience. Imagine having to judge a tragedy in which a cyclist loses his life after an autonomous vehicle reacts according to its programming. In court, the company’s founder is sued for negligence, even though the system did no more than perform what it was designed to do. This case invites you to reflect on the notion of responsibility in a world dominated by technology: is it the fault of the human, the machine or the code itself?
