It’s no secret that going to the movies costs a pretty penny. A trip to Lyon’s Pathé Bellecour, for example, costs just €16.50, the equivalent of a quick lunch in the city center. No wonder, then, that the people of Lyon are going to the movies less and less, despite our precious heritage from the Lumière brothers.
Fortunately, after the Fête de la Musique comes the Fête du Cinéma! In Lyon, as in the rest of France, sessions will be limited to a maximum of 5 euros. It’s a chance to indulge yourself like never before and see the new films we’ve been talking so much about!
La fête du cinéma: all screenings at 5 euros starting Sunday

It’s the end of the month, and despite that, we bet you’ll be going to the movies this Sunday! From June 30 to July 3, screenings throughout France will cost 5 euros, thanks to the 39th Fête du Cinéma.
Among the big films on the bill are The Hennedricks Family, Kinds of Kindness, Without a Sound: Day 1, The Count Of Montecristo (starring Pierre Niney) as well as Vice Versa 2, Moi Moche et Méchant 4 and Bad Boys: Ride or Die (if you’re more the action movie type than the Disney type…)
And if you’re really a fan of the 7th art, Allociné is taking this opportunity to launch a competition in which you can win a year’s FREE cinema in France! Now’s the time to try your luck…
