Imagine being able to recreate the atmosphere of a Michelin-starred restaurant at home… Despite your undeniable culinary talents, the glasses and plates from that famous Swedish chain are fine for Sunday-night carbonara, but if you want to host in style, they just don’t cut it. It’s time to take it to the next level—and that’s good news, because soon in Lyon you’ll be able to get the very best in tableware—and, while you’re at it, at the best price. The region’s finest restaurants are coming together in November so everyone can leave with a little magic under their arm. Let’s not forget: we eat as much with our eyes as we do with our mouths. So, without further ado, read this post and reserve your spot for this new edition of La Vaisselle des Chefs.
La Vaisselle des Chefs: A Roundtable on Tableware

Villa Florentine ( Lyon), Flocons de Sel (Megève), Georges Blanc (Vonnas), La Mère Brazier (Lyon), the Paul Bocuse gourmet restaurant ( Collonges), L’InterContinental (Lyon), Le M (Lyon), and even the Château de Bagnols… No, unfortunately this isn’t a list of our upcoming team lunches, but rather the select restaurants participating in this year’s La Vaisselle des Chefs in Lyon.
Now a must-attend event for all foodies in the capital of gastronomy, La Vaisselle des Chefs has been allowing ordinary people to step into the shoes of the greats for the past 15 years. The goal? It’s obviously multifaceted. First, to give tableware and other accessories from prestigious brands a second life: plates, cutlery, glasses, candlesticks, tablecloths, and even napkins… From silverware to linens, including earthenware, crystal, and porcelain—everything is on display.

The items are secondhand, but what a first hand! Already used, they’re offered at a much more reasonable price than in stores. Affordability is, in fact, one of the key themes of this event.
Finally—and this is undoubtedly the most important part—the event is, above all, a charitable initiative. Thanks to the support of numerous volunteers, the funds raised will go toward helping the organizations Habitat & Humanisme Rhône and Habitat Saint-Roch, which support families facing housing insecurity.
How do you get your hands on this precious ticket?

The event will take place right at City Hall (no less!) on Saturday, November 7, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Sunday, November 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. To attend, you must first register on the event’s website. Please note: without this registration, you won’t be able to enter this treasure trove. Don’t miss this golden opportunity to impress your mother-in-law at this year’s Christmas Eve dinner!
