It took a great deal of audacity and panache to launch a new sound and light event in Lyon, the world capital of the genre. What’s more, during the Fête des Lumières… On paper, the project seems difficult, but Eonarium does it! After unprecedented success in several cities (including London, Milan and Bordeaux), Genesis has set up shop in the heart of Lyon.
The creator of immersive experiences in exceptional locations had already dazzled the Palais de la Bourse in 2023, and by the same token the hearts of all Lyon residents, with Enlightment. The response to this dazzling show based on Vivaldi’s Four Seasons was unanimous. Eonarium returns with Genesis, a new kind of show.

More than a fascinating show about the origins of the world through the elements of light, water, earth and plants, Genesis embodies above all an exceptional alliance between cutting-edge technology and rich heritage. The Palais de la Bourse, the city’s most emblematic architectural jewel, is illuminated by a video mapping system. From floor to ceiling, this majestic venue shines. Spectators are immersed in a unique luminous atmosphere.

The hardest part? Coming back down to earth!
To create this tailor-made 360° show, the structure of the building was digitized beforehand, so that the projections could be perfectly adapted to the site. A colossal task, given the characteristics of the site. Hundreds of hours of work went into the preparation, and Projektil, the internationally acclaimed Zurich-based artists’ collective, was in charge.
Audience feedback on previous editions has been unanimous: an enchanted interlude that seems hard to forget. The Genesis magic has not finished making a name for itself…
