Whether thick or illustrated, antique or comic, the book is a treasure trove. In the age of the great digital revolution, it’s so good to plunge into the pages of a good novel (the good book under the comforter combo is still unbeatable today). But sometimes it’s hard to make up your mind… what to read? Come along to Magnifique Livre on March 14, 15 and 16!
“Magnifique Livre”, the pleonasm we love to read
“Je monte en haut”, “Tu cries fort”, “Actuellement en cours”… we could well add “Magnigique livre” to this list of pleonasms. In any case, this is the vision (and our own) shared by the organizers of the Éditions Indépendantes de Rhône-Alpes et Auvergne, who initiated the fair. In all, more than 50 exhibitors from all over France await you over the three days to discover the very best in reading. The walls of the Chapelle de la Trinité are well known for the sublime Candlelight concerts it hosts. This year, it opens its doors once again for a new edition of the Salon Magnifique Livre. Between music and reading, these places are definitely imbued with a touch of magic…
A festival for the whole family
It’s not easy to introduce youngsters to the pleasure of reading… The telephone in the right hand and the remote control in the left… What if a book fair could be the right excuse to change things? A family activity always helps to awaken the youngest, especially when it takes place outside the home. And this year, the Magnifique Livre is focusing on children’s literature. Workshops, activities, readings and encounters – everything is designed to ensure that young people take the reins at the show. For the second year running, the “Lire et Faire Lire” association will also be present.
But grown-ups won’t be outdone. Conferences, round tables and other activities await them. Add to this the fact that admission to the fair is totally free, and you’ve got the perfect equation to get the whole tribe reading in a hurry!
