In March, cinema has always had the wind in its sails. The Césars and Oscars ceremonies, (sometimes) capricious weather and a series of eagerly-awaited film releases: cinema attendance is always high at the end of winter. And that’s without counting Printemps du Cinéma, which is also adding its stone to the edifice with an invitation to visit darkened cinemas to celebrate the arrival of fine weather.
📅 S ee you from Sunday March 23 to Tuesday March 25, 2025.
Printemps du Cinéma, the big screen for just €5
What could be better than sharing a good cinema session and then having a good burger as a debrief? What’s more, 2025 looks set to be a cinematic year. Looking at all the films on show, it’s hard to choose. So we might as well not choose! That’s what Printemps du Cinéma is all about, offering a cinema screening at half or even a third of the price. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a series of 5-star films over the 3 days of the event.
The icing on the cake is that these three days of culture at minis prices will include all films showing during this period. From small independent films to American blockbusters, all the works of the moment will be accessible at the best prices.
More than 180 million pairs of eyes in cinemas by 2024
In Lyon, we’ve been celebrating cinema in style for 130 springs. It goes without saying that our city’s history with the 7th art is unique. But the whole of France has declared its love of cinema. Last year, almost 182 million tickets were sold, with French productions enjoying a revival. These included (among others) The Count of Monte Christo, L’Amour ouf and Un p’tit truc en plus. Enough to make us want to go to the movies all over again!
