The capital of gastronomy is going from strength to strength with the arrival of this new restaurant. It’s called Street Bangkok, but there’s more to it than that. From the hustle and bustle of Thai streets, to the lemony scent of caramelized chicken, to the din of burning kitchens, it’s all there. And the excitement of future customers too.
Street Bangkok, the first provincial opening after unprecedented success in the capital
In 2015, the first Street Bangkok opened its doors in Paris. Norman Kolton, founder of the concept, is convinced. The raw, original richness of Thai cuisine had to be brought back to France. Ten years and nine openings later, the concept is about to blow out its tenth candle in the heart of Lyon. Its promise? To offer the very best in street food. And it’s Lyon that will be “paying the price” for the next opening. The program is unchanged: uncompromising street food
“ I’m opening this restaurant for one reason only: to show that street food, when it’s done well, can make a city as gastronomic as Lyon vibrate “. explains Joël Opisso, manager of the Lyon-based restaurant.
A two-storey restaurant a stone’s throw from the Opéra, the ingredients of an already winning strategy
Street Bangkok intends to bring all the knowledge it has acquired over the last ten years back to Lyon’s kitchens. Here, there’s no fuss, the kitchens are hot, the cooking is noisy and the plates are bewitching. Everything is made to order before the eyes of the customers, who all betray a look that speaks volumes… The dishes are simple and generous. In short, everything we love. Street Bangkok will be located at 15 rue de l’Arbre Sec in the 1st arrondissement, a stone’s throw from the Opéra… a performance not to be missed!
With its all-you-can-eat buffets and its range of restaurants that qualis without breaking the bank, Lyon is not just the capital of traditional gastronomy. With the opening of Street Bangkok, it is once again expanding its range of alternative, low-cost restaurants.
