Joe Hisaishi’s music occupies a central place in Studio Ghibli’s identity. This concertpays ambitious tribute to it, revisiting the soundtracks of Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, and Howl’s Moving Castle.
Under the direction of conductor Aurélien Azan Zielinski, the scores take on a new dimension. The orchestration, performed by an impressive ensemble, allows these cult works to be rediscovered with power and finesse.
