Are you drooling over this year’s festival line-up, or still not sure how you’re going to afford a week’s vacation with your mates in Spain? No problem, the 2025 batch of summer jobs has been launched. The Metropole and its 58 communes are taking the lead by opening up their summer jobs now. Applications close on March 31, so get your CVs ready.
Summer jobs focus on three areas: environmental cleanliness, childcare and administrative tasks.
Have you always had a green thumb? No, your thing is children, unless you’re a computer whiz? Here’s what could well be your passport to paying for your vacations. But above and beyond paying for your vacation (which is a truly great feeling), doing a summer job is your first step into the world of work. It’s a good way to find out what you like doing and what you don’t.
All positions are offered on the basis of the minimum wage (€1426.30 net) andcontracts are generally for one month.
How do I apply?
First and foremost, you need to be motivated! In addition, two conditions must be met:
- Be aged 18 or over at the time of the contract period
- Be a student (or receiving Revenu Solidarité Active (RSA) or Revenu Solidarité Jeune).
Check all the boxes? Then complete your application directly on the Métropole de Lyon website, before March 31, 2025 .
Here are the documents you’ll need to apply:
- an attractive CV
- a copy of your identity card
- a RIB (to receive the cash)
- a copy of your health insurance card (or certificate of entitlement from Assurance Maladie)
- a certificate of school attendance for the year (only if you are a student)
There will be no interview, so it’s important to enclose a good, complete application.
