On Candlemas (or any other time of year), there are plenty of great places to enjoy crêpes in Lyon. Here are our favorites!
Le Marélie
Remember, we already mentioned Le Marélie inour list of great restaurants in Lyon for under €15. At Le Marélie, crispy crêpes and smoky buckwheat galettes take center stage on our plates…For only €13.90 at lunchtime from Monday to Friday, you can choose from a selection of three galettes of the day accompanied by a sweet crêpe or creamy fromage blanc with red fruit coulis.
Crêperie Bigoudène
Here, we’re heading to Brittany! In addition to a delicious array of savory galettes (“La Grève Blanche” with goat cheese, Reblochon, Bleu d’Auvergne, raclette cheese… a delight) and sweet galettes (with Kinder Maxi, Kinder Bueno, M&M’s, Maltesers, Snickers…), we take the opportunity to order artisanal cider and beer from Brittany, or even tasty sparkling Breton apple juice!
Madamann
At this crêperie in Les Halles de la Martinière, you’ll discover a plethora of tasty recipes made with original ingredients! For surprising crêpes with refined flavors, you’ve definitely found the right place! Vegetarian galette or pulled pork with fresh tomme cheese and barbecue sauce, smoked trout and seaweed tartare, duck breast and cider confit… the surprises never stop! For dessert, you’ll love the pink praline crêpe, which is 100% Lyonnais!
Breizh Cafe
Breizh Cafe is the perfect fusion of traditional Breton cuisine and Japanese flavors. Bertrand Lacher explains: ” My mother’s cooking and that of my adopted country have revealed similarities: Brittany eats buckwheat, as does Japan, in different forms. ” On the menu, you’ll find churned butter and Kinako soy powder, for example. Ready to embark on a unique culinary experience?
