Every year, the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) return to give us the chance to discover the latest collections in our favorite museums, or to visit places that are usually inaccessible. This weekend’s program promises to be packed, to say the least.
2025 theme: architrectural heritage
On September 19, 20 and 21, France’s heritage will be in the spotlight. Last year, one in ten French people visited one of the 17,000 historic sites open to the public, for a total of 6.5 million visitors. In 2025, the Heritage Days will be devoted to architectural heritage, focusing on the finest artistic and technical achievements of the genre. Suffice to say, visitors to Lyon will have their work cut out for them.
