Tired of pizza or sushi? Have you overdosed on Lyon’s specialties and know all the city’s bouchons? Don’t despair, we’ve got just the thing for you, at the Refugee Food Festival! Our mission? From gastro to canteen, to open up a hundred or so venues in France to collaborations between chefs and talent from elsewhere. On the menu: plenty of originality, a healthy dose of benevolence and a festive, supportive atmosphere.
With Refugee Food, travel to Sudan or Afghanistan without leaving Lyon.
Bordeaux, Dijon, Lille, Lyon, Marseille and Bordeaux…. Throughout the month of June, Refugee Food will be touring France’s major cities, giving the public the chance to discover a different kind of gastronomy. In Lyon, the festival will put down its pots and open its ovens from June 10 to 15.
A Franco-Eritrean dinner begins on Tuesday at Le Troquet. This will be followed by another round at Murmures on June 11 and 12 for a Franco-Syrian dinner, while Taille Crayon invites you to lunch on June 12 and 13 for a Franco-Iranian menu. Finally, Restaurant Abstract awaits you from Thursday to Sunday for a Franco-Syrian-Venezuelan menu. Click here for the full program.

What’s more, June 15 is Father’s Day, so here’s an original way to mark the occasion…
