From July 23 to 26 2025, Lyon will vibrate with the colors of the rainbow! For the very first time, the capital of the Gauls is hosting the EuroGames, Europe’s biggest LGBTQIA+ sporting event. A unique celebration of sporting performance, inclusivity and electrifying parties all over the city. We tell you all about this unmissable summer event.
Over 30 sports, 4,000 athletes, and a supercharged atmosphere
With over 4,000 athletes expected from all over Europe, the EuroGames transforms Lyon into a queer Olympic village for four days. On the program: over 30 sporting disciplines open to all, whether you’re a pro or an amateur.
From tennis to rugby, synchronized swimming, pétanque, sailing and dance sports, the events will take place in a number of emblematic venues in Lyon and the surrounding area. A special feature of the EuroGames is that competitionsare mixed, inclusive and non-selective, meaning that anyone can take part, whatever their gender, orientation or level.
The icing on the cake: spectators are welcome free of charge to cheer on the athletes and experience the event right at the heart of the action. The perfect opportunity to thrill, share and break down barriers through sport!
EuroGames Lyon: a festival of pride, music and unforgettable evenings
The EuroGames is not just about sport, it’s also a huge , inclusive party. Starting on July 22, the official Village will open its doors with entertainment, food trucks, DJ sets and committed conferences. It’s the place to be between events and festive aperitifs.
In the evening, get ready for a wild night’s entertainment:
- FLINTA Evening (dedicated to women, lesbians, trans, non-binary, intersex people…)
- Show Night with drag shows & performances at the Théâtre de La Rayonne
- And above all… Closing Night XXL, on July 26 at the Centre de Congrès, with a giant party lasting until the wee hours of the morning (paid admission, discounts for participants).
Inclusivity, visibility and celebration are the watchwords of an event that passionately combines sport, activism and queer culture. A historic first for Lyon, and a unique opportunity to showcase diversity in every sense of the word.
