Badminton, BMX, archery, rugby and frisbee… that’s the morning program. Baseball, chess, wrestling and savate boxe française for the afternoon. Oh yes, there’s also volleyball and capoeira between noon and two… Here’s what should keep the wild beasts at bay at home. The Metropole de Lyon is back in force this year with this program of free activities during the spring vacations, from April 22 to May 2.
Three, two, one… go!
Since the victory of Les Bleus in the 6 Nations tournament, the little one wants to take up rugby, and the Paris Olympics have awakened a desire for archery in the older one. It’s not easy to coordinate all this… So why not try it out during the upcoming spring vacations? That’s what the Metropole de Lyon is proposing in its MVS (Métropole Vacances Sportives) program for all young people aged 3 to 18. The idea is simple: to introduce youngsters to activities other than soccer, swimming or dance, free of charge, via a whole range of unusual and fun sports. In all, some twenty activities are on offer.
How to get involved
Registration is already open! Activities will be shared between several sites in the Métropole. The communes of Bron, Dardilly, Décines-Charpieu, Meyzieu, Villeurbanne and Lyon, of course. Métropole de Lyon has already set up a registration platform with the full program. Some activities are accessible to young people with disabilities, so that everyone can take advantage of this fantastic opportunity. The program has been running since 2021, enabling thousands of young people every year to enjoy a unique sporting activity… So get moving!
