It’s been hard to match the magic and genius of the Great Paul since his death in 2018 – and no one would argue with that. Yet his legacy lives on in Lyon and around the world. From the Halles that proudly bear his name to the tributes paid during the Fêtes des Lumières, the Bocuse d’Or awards, urban frescoes and his famous Institut: Paul Bocuse remains an emblematic figure, inseparable from Lyon’s culinary identity.
Le Kiosque by Bocuse Original Comptoir: Paul Bocuse’s DNA with a 2025 twist
In this spirit, a newcomer has just set up shop… and the chosen location is not lacking in originality! Nestled in a former newspaper kiosk on the corner of Boulevard des Belges and Cours Vitton, this atypical spot offers real food on the go, as if you were buying the morning paper. A clever way of combining gastronomy and accessibility.
The company’s mission is clear: to reinvent French street food. What’s on the menu? A sandwich with Reblochon AOC served in a homemade sandwich loaf, or a crispy poultry fillet nestled in an artisanal bun. Simple, straightforward, generous recipes, with that little taste of terroir that makes all the difference.
Small in size, big in Lyon’s hearts
But how could so many demands be met in such a small space? It was a daring challenge… and yet, it was met with flying colors. The kiosk officially opened its doors a few days ago, and already offers a menu as short as it is tempting: four signature sandwiches – the Croq’Truffe, the Chicken Twist, the Chien Chaud and the Basque – each with its own personality.
Prices range from €13.90 to €18.90 for a complete menu (main course, side dish and drink) , so you can treat yourself without breaking the budget. A spot that has everything it takes to become the favorite address of local residents and walkers in the Parc de la Tête d’Or, in search of a quick, well-crafted gourmet treat.
