80 years of partnership—that calls for a celebration. So, the Lyon Metropolis has decided to mark the occasion by launching its “La Métropole t’ouvre les nuits” program, with 1, 000 invitations up for grabs—that’s right! From May 28 to July 5, the people of Lyon will once again be thrilled by the festival that has hosted all the greatest artists in music (David Bowie, Muse, Miles Davis), as well as in dance and theater (Maurice Béjart, Patrice Chéreau, Zingaro), with a 2026 lineup that promises to be a standout year. So, how can you get a taste of this nectar without breaking the bank? We’ll tell you everything!
“The Metropolis opens its nights to you”

The initiative is exclusively for young people aged 16 to 26 , residing in one of the 59 municipalities within the Lyon Metropolitan Area. Registration opens on Monday, May 4, at 12:00 p.m. sharp (one registration per person, and you will be asked to provide proof of identity). Registration will take place directly on the Lyon Metropolitan Area website by following the instructions on the dedicated page.
The “La Métropole t’ouvre les nuits” initiative will grant access to a show or concert for two people, chosen from among the more than 90 events scheduled this year. For more information, visit the Métropole’s website directly .
A 5-star lineup for this “oak-themed anniversary”

For the 80th wedding anniversary, we’re celebrating the oak wedding (a symbol of an indestructible and majestic union). It took nothing less for Les Nuits de Fourvière to pull out all the stops for this 80th edition, which promises to be epic once again. Headliners (Massive Attack, Lorde, Vanessa Paradis, MC Solaar & Youssoupha, Yael Naim…) will set the amphitheater stage ablaze, alongside artists you absolutely must discover (Curtis Harding, Wet Leg) and tributes, such as the one paid to the legendary Cesária Évora. And if you can’t make it to Les Nuits de Fourvières this year, Lyon and its surrounding region are brimming with concerts and festivals for a spectacular 2026.
