Unlocking the mystery of zombies

Now there’s an exhibition for you! On the eve of Halloween and All Saints’ Day, the Musée des Confluences invites us to explore the true myth of zombies. Forget the undead of Michael Jackson’sThriller video, and plunge into the authentic zombie legend, for an incredible journey between Africa and the Caribbean. Conceived and developed by the Musée du quai Branly in Paris, this exhibition is now on show at the Musée des Confluences!

Treat yourself to a candlelit concert!

At Lyon Secret, we can’t get enough of Candlelight’s wonderful candlelit concerts. We’re delighted to present a selection of concerts that take us back to our favorite series and bands. These include a Candlelight “Rings & Dragons” concert on October 19 and November 9 at the Chapelle de la Trinité, and a Candlelight “Coldplay vs Ed Sheeran” concert on Sunday November 2 at the Basilique Saint-Bonaventure.

Lyon’s Koezio indoor leisure park is once again redoubling its inventiveness. For this 2025 Halloween edition, they’re offering exceptional evenings on October 30 and 31 , immersed in a derelict site… The concept: you’ve been summoned by an ancient and disturbing sect. Lyon is a lovely city, but once night falls, it becomes a playground for spirits. You take on the role of a 12 -year-old child, lost in the streets of Lyon, and you’ll have to find your way back by answering riddles posed by the creatures on your path.

Make your Halloween cocktails… special

Sometimes there’s nothing like a good classic. Buy what you need to make demonic cocktails fueled by dracula guts and toad slime.

🎃 Alcohol-free: The witch’s potion

Ingredients:

• 150 ml pomegranate juice (for the blood color)
• 100 ml lemon-lime soda (Sprite or 7Up type)
• 1 teaspoon grenadine syrup
• A few ice cubes
• A few jelly beads or edible candies (optional for creepy effect)

To prepare:

1. Pour the pomegranate juice and grenadine into a glass.
2. Slowly add the soda to create an “effervescent” effect.
3. Add a few ice cubes and jelly beads for a “floating eyes” effect.
4. Decorate with a small cinnamon stick or black sugar on the rim of the glass.

🕸 With alcohol: “Sang de vampire” cocktail

Ingredients:

• 50 ml dark rum or bourbon
• 25 ml cherry or grenadine liqueur
• 50 ml cranberry juice
• 25 ml lemon juice
• A few ice cubes

To make:

1. Place rum, liqueur, cranberry juice and lemon juice in a shaker with ice cubes.
2. Shake well and pour into a highball or cocktail glass.
3. Add a candied cherry for a “drop of blood” effect.

💀 Tip: you can serve with a glass rim dipped in black sugar or red food coloring for an even spookier look.
