Reinventing the very concept of the artisan bakery: that’s the challenge facing Copains. Not an easy task, especially when it involves tackling a symbol as sacred as bread in France. However, what was just a gamble for the two founders quickly turned into a beautiful reality. The adventure began in 2021 and, in less than four years – despite the Covid and tutti quanti – the ovens are now running at full capacity. The first boutique, then two, four, eight… and now fourteen! Founded by Baptiste and Giovanni , Copains is a bakery offering 100% organic, 100% artisan breads, viennoiseries and pastries , made with alternative flours to wheat.

They saw the potential of a modern place, while preserving the codes of the traditional bakery and surrounding themselves with passionate craftsmen: that’s the real success. A new “Copains” in the heart of Lyon
What better place than Lyon to welcome this new showcase, where bakery rhymes with gastronomy? The store will open its doors on the Presqu’île, rue Président-Édouard-Herriot, a stone’s throw from Place des Jacobins. As with its Parisian sisters, everything has been designed to make you feel at home, and to make the moment a moment of real pleasure – with a capitalP and a big one at that.
